QUEENSLAND'S MOST PRIVATE AND EXCLUSIVE RAINFOREST CAMPING

Webbs Break campground is within one hours drive north of Brisbane and is named after a fire break at the northern end of the D'Aguilar National Park. The campground encompasses approximately 100 acres of private rainforest including a privately owned creek. The site guarantees total seclusion and a relaxed freedom while camping. Unlike most campgrounds, Webbs Break has almost total tree cover with some grassed areas for camping tents and camper trailers. The lush forest warms and protects in the winter and shades and cools in the summer.

Welcome to Webbs Break

The campground was designed to be something unique and was built as a single booking campsite. This means you are free to do many things that would otherwise be prohibited in a normal campground. At this campground everyone will be someone you know. Why camp with strangers when you can book the entire campground for your family, friends or even work colleagues?

About Us

Webbs Break Rainforest Campground is a peaceful campground in a beautiful rainforest setting with a large, free-form area. It’s popular with families, birdwatchers and bushwalkers alike for its interesting and attractive vegetation and wide variety of animals, including many threatened species. Interesting wildlife you might spot here include rock wallibies, red-legged and red-necked pademelons grazing during the day, lace monitors, and laughing kookaburras.

Getting here

Webbs Break is 15 minutes outside of the small town, Woodford. It is an easy day trip from anywhere in and around the south east corner of Queensland. Follow this map - Webbs Break. The campground is accessible for all types of cars. Caravans and large RV’s (over 4.5t gvm) are not permitted as the mountain terrain is unsuitable for Caravans. The small Jayco style pop-ups are included as camper trailers.

Camping Facilities

The campsite has a covered area with concrete floor and stainless steel benches for food preparation. Free internet is provided via WiFi. There is a fire pit and potbelly stove with firewood provided. Drinking water is available from a tap at the covered area. Woolworths and IGA supermarkets are only 15 minutes away in Woodford for more supplies such as ice or Food.

Weather conditions

Our weather can range from very hot and dry days through to impressive summer thunderstorms, and it gets pretty chilly if you’re up early in the morning even in summer. Campers should prepare for any eventuality, specifically during winter when it can get very cold.

Amenities

Our campground has a full hot water shower and two flushing toilets. Rubbish bins are supplied for your waste. The covered area and the toilet block have built in permanent lighting. However you should still bring torches and other lighting. There is a potbelly stove in the covered area which is great for heating in winter.

AMENITIES

Private Entrance

Access to the campground is via a security gate. When you make a booking you will be given a access code for the gate. You may enter any time after 1pm check in. The check out time is 11am. No visitors or pets are allowed.

Parking

There is parking for up to eight cars at the main carpark with no trailers. If you have a trailer then the maximum would be five 4x4's with trailers. There are overflow areas to park cars. The Beach area is for 4x4 vehicles and trailers, no cars.

Campground area

There is more than enough space for tents to be setup well apart from each other. We have two entirely separated sections of grassed areas for tenting. Camper trailers may only use the lagoon carpark or the Beach grass carpark.

Hot Showers and Toilets

After a day hiking or just to warm up in the morning, having access to a gas hot water system makes our showers some of the best. We have full flush toilets which mean you don't have to forgo the comforts of home just because you are camping.

Close to Activities

The creek offers great swimming, there is hiking on site and bush trails to explore. Outside of the campground, D'Aguilar National Park, Woodford and Kilcoy offer many opportunities for day trips.

Amazing Views

Camper trailers and small Jayco pop tops are acceptable (not advisable when towed by front wheel drive vehicles). Camper Trailers or Small Jayco Pop Tops must be Single Axle only. Can or should I bring a bicycle? There is no bike track and very little area to ride bikes. The road outside the campground is busy and not recommended for kids. Kayaks would be more appropriate .
